Abstract:
ObjectiveIn order to understand the teaching situation of the Preventive Medicine course among clinical professional medical students, and to explore ways to improve teaching quality and teaching effectiveness.
MethodsAt the end of the Preventive Medicine course, the clinical professional medical students were investigated to evaluate the course content, teaching effect and course satisfaction.The IBM SPSS 22.0 software was used for data collation and analysis.
ResultsThe scores of contents evaluation and effect evaluation for the Preventive Medicine course were consistent.The top three contents of both were "Diet and Health", "Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases" and "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control".Students′ overall satisfaction with the course was 77.2%.Suggestions from students for curriculum improvement mainly included increasing case-based learning (47.7%) and carrying out small class teaching proportions (37.7%).
ConclusionStudents were satisfied with the teaching quality of Preventive Medicine course.But it is still necessary to continuously update and improve the course content, as well as teaching methods and ways, so as to improve the teaching quality and effect of the course.
