Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of intervention on improving pulmonary function and quality of life of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients complicated with diabetes in community.
Methods Intervention and guidance were conducted for the recovery of 52 COPD patients complicated with diabetes for 8 to 12 months.Their pulmonary function were compared before and after intervention, and their quality of life were evaluated by a subsistence quality measurement list (SF-36).
Results After intervention, all the indications of pulmonary functions were improved obviously (
P<0.05).Differences were statistically significant for the subsistence quality dimensionality before and after intervention (
P<0.05).
Conclusion The intervention for COPD patients with diabetes in community is helpful for improving their pulmonary function and quality of life.
