Abstract:
Objective To understand the usage and management of central air-conditioning in Shanghai general hospitals and probe into their corresponding control measures.
Methods 60 general hospitals were selected for investigation of their types of air-conditioning systems, their service life, as well as their design, construction and management.
Results Air conditioning systems have been widely used in the general hospitals, but the designs, such as filtering facilities and disinfection facilities were inadequate to the systems, as well as the daily management in hospital were imperfect.
Conclusion We should speed up the formulation of corresponding laws, regulations and standards, improve the hospital air-conditioning design and construction, and strengthen its daily management.
