Effect analysis on inspection system for tobacco control in government office in Jiading District

ObjectiveTo promote the creation of Jiading District smoke free agency and realize "Carpet Smoking Ban in All Indoor Public Places and Workplaces " which aims to create a national civilized city.

MethodsBy means of dark check was performed quarterly tabaco control investigation in the offices by the third party. A notification and publicity system was established for the results of tobacco control in goverment offices.

ResultsThe overall atmosphere for tobacco control in government offices in 2015 was obviously better than that in 2014, non-smoking commitment rate in offices was increased to 92%, smoking bans posting rate was 93.3%, and smoking places declined by 66.7%, the proportion of smoky sites dropped by 64.3%. Tobacco control situation in government offices has greatly improved.

ConclusionQuarterly tobacco control inspections and its results report publicity system play a significant role in government office's tobacco control.
