Advances and status quo in construction of healthy cities in abroad and domestic

Rapid development of urbanization in the world has brought population health threat. Healthy Cities Project has become worldwide movement in recent years to reduce health hazards in the process of urbanization. This paper reviews present development of Healthy Cities in abroad and domestic and particularly introduces the practices of Health Cities in Japan, Canada, England and Shanghai in China. Meanwhile it compares the models of Healthy Cities between Shanghai and foreign countries to provide reference for construction of Healthy Cities in China. At last, this paper points out the problems existing in construction of the Healthy Cities in China and gives specific suggestions.
