Survey analysis on depressive symptoms in certified disabled persons in Jinshan Industrial Zone, Shanghai

  • ObjectiveTo investigate the detection status of the depressive symptoms in certified disabled persons in Jingshan Industrial Zone so as to provide basis for their psychological rehabilitation.
    Methods By means of general survey, the Self-rating Depressive Scale (SDS) was used to investigate the depressive status of disabled persons in Shanghai Jinshan Industrial Zone.
    Results The detection rate of depressive symptoms in certified disabled persons was 57.55%, of which 38.79% was mainly mild depression symptoms.
    Conclusion The depression detection rate in persons with disabilities is relatively high in the community, so the community health personnel should take individual psychological intervention measures in providing rehabilitation services for focus groups, so as to improve mental health of disabled persons.
