Hand-foot-mouth disease and its epidemiological characteristics in 2009-2016 in Rudong County

ObjectiveTo investigate the cases of hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD) in Rudong County and to provide scientific basis for prevention and control of HFMD.

MethodsBy means of epidemiological method was done analysis of triple distribution and virus type on the basis of data from HFMD cases occurring in 2009-2016 in Rudong County.JP2

ResultsThe average incidence rate of HFMD was 130.78/100 000 in Rudong County between 2009 and 2016.JPThere occurred an incidence peak in 2014 in Rudong County.March and June were high incidence seasons.The age distribution was concentrated in children about the age of 4.EV71 were main types of severe cases.

ConclusionTo strengthen comprehensive prevention and control measures can effectively reduce the incidence rate of HFMD.
