Sero-epidemiological investigation on mycoplasma pneumonia in natural population of Jinhua City

  • ObjectiveTo investigate the infection rate and antibody level of Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) in Jinhua, and to provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of MP disease.
MethodsUsing stratified random sampling method, 1560 serum samples were collected.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect mycoplasma pneumoniae specific antibody.
ResultsThe MP positive rate of antibody detection in 1560 subjects was 64.1%(1000/1560), and GMT was 1:60.3.There was no difference in the level of MP antibody between different areas, different household register, different gender and population. The antibody level was higher in March, June and September. The antibody levels in different age groups showed the phenomenon of "high in the middle and low in both ends", which indicated children and adolescents were relatively higher in antibody levels.
ConclusionMP infection rate is high among people in Jinhua, and the prevention and control of MP infection needs to be strengthened.
