The measurement of standardized premature death rate or potential year life lost rate

  • Premature death rate (PDR), an indicator of premature mortality for health planning, has been employed to evaluate the relative impact of various diseases and lethal force on society.This indicator is an approach based on life table, which prioritizes the ranking of major causes of death, and also would help health planner define priorities for prevention.
