Epidemiological analysis on family terminal disinfection of viral hepatitis from 2012 to 2016 in Changning District, Shanghai

  • ObjectiveTo ascertain the situation of family terminal disinfection of viral hepatitis in Changning District of Shanghai from 2012 to 2016, and to make suggestions for reducing the consumption of disinfection resources.
    MethodsThe results of the terminal disinfection work record in Changning District of 2012-2016 were recorded in Excel, the epidemic distribution discribed, and the unclassified hepatitis patients information compared with the infectious disease report information management system to verify the outcome.
    ResultsThe number of patients with terminal disinfection in years of 2012-2016 was 301, and the number of hepatitis B patients 59.14%, with the ratio of male to female being 2.06:1.In five years, there were 44 cases of unclassified hepatitis in total, of which 50 % were confirmed hepatitis B.
    ConclusionCarrying out the terminal disinfection can timely and effectively cut off the transmission of hepatitis, protecting their family members from infection, which has a very important epidemiological significance.
