Monitoring analysis on residents death in Jingning County of Zhejiang Province in 2014-2016

ObjectiveTo make analysis on the mortality and main causes of residents death in Jingning County of Zhejiang Province in 2014-2016, providing scientific basis for administrative departments to formulate and adjust health intervention strategies.

MethodsAccording to ICD-10 standard of international classification of diseases, the death reports were done with statistics and analysis in terms of the indexes as mortality, death cause sequence and death constituent ratio.

ResultsThe crude death rate among the local residents in Jingning in 2014-2016 was 622.31/10⁵ and the standardized death rate was 451.69/10⁵.The five main factors which caused death were malignant tumor, cerebrovascular disease, heart disease, respiratory disease, injury and poisoning.

ConclusionChronic disease is the main cause of death, which should be key emphasis in future health work.Health education and health promotion should be enhanced, and the residents should be guided to have a healthy lifestyle and to improve the quality of life.
