Review on the history of food safety supervision and reform in Shanghai

This paper reviews the changes of food hygiene (safety) supervision in Shanghai City since the founding of the people's Republic of China, describing the historical changes of food safety supervision from the aspects of legal system construction, institutional change, supervision ability and network construction, supervision mechanism and food safety level in Shanghai City.
