Sulfa antibiotics contamination in drinking water:Advances in research of its control

This article reviews various aspects of sulfa antibiotics contamination in drinking water, covering its source, research status at home and abroad, and main removal process for drinking water.It is proposed that sulfonamides as a new environmental pollutant, have a wide range of sources and are widespread in drinking water.The treatment process of the waterworks has a certain treatment effect on sulfonamides, and the removal efficiency of deep treatment process is better than that of conventional treatment one.It is suggested that the environmental accumulation effect and the trend of the transformation after the process treatment of the waterworks should be studied in depth for further guaranteeing the hygiene of drinking water.
