Preparation and evaluation of pesticide residue quality control samples:Bifenthrin, chlorfenapyr and fipronil in cabbage powder for example

  • ObjectiveTo develop cabbage powder reference material for proficiency testing of pesticide residues in vegetables.
    MethodsThe cabbage was prepared by freeze-dried and standard addition, followed by homogeneity validation through random sampling, then evaluation was done of the stability by monitoring the concentration level of analytes in samples during 42 days.
    ResultsThe homogeneity test and stability test results were satisfactory, and the defined value was consistent with the assigned value.
    ConclusionThe prepared proficiency test samples of bifenthrin, chlorfenapyr and fipronil can be used for the verification of the pesticide residues in vegetables and for the method evaluation.The results are satisfactory.
