"Health Education" based on cultivation of students′ practical ability:Discussion on its course teaching reform

  • To optimize the teaching methods for Health Education Course and explore the teaching reform which aimed at cultivating students′ practical ability.The teaching reform used the method of combining theoretical teaching with practical teaching. "Participatory teaching method" by various teaching forms was applied in classroom, while practical teaching was carried out in real environment through expanding teaching bases. Teaching reform improved students′ enthusiasm for learning, improved students′ ability to understand and apply basic theoretical knowledge, and cultivated students′ ability of health education practice as well as comprehensive abilities. The teaching reform optimized teaching methods, and enhanced the students′ skills of carrying out health education activities, helping to achieve objectives of training public health personnel.
