Abstract
Objective To investigate job burnout status among front-line staff at one semiconductor manufacturing company. Methods Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey (MBI-GS) was used for 406 front-line staff with questionnaire. Results Of the surveyed staff, those with emotional exhaustion dimension >3 reached 53.1%, those with cynical dimension >3 was up to 37.4% and those with achievability reduction dimension accounted for 21.1%.The burnout levels in differences of age, education and marriage were not statistically significant (P>0.05).However, burnout levels and working life were positively correlated. Conclusion Statistical analysis of these survey results showed that in the dimension of emotional exhaustion there was strong job burnout among the front-line workers.The other two dimensions, cynicism and diminished personal accomplishments, did not show strong statistical significance as indicators of burnout.
