Cross-sectional survey on community control of correlative factors for 214 cases of type 2 diabetes

  • Objective To describe and analyze correlative factors control levels for diabetes patients in a community. Methods A total of 214 diabetes patients under community management were randomly selected and examined for their blood glucose, blood pressure, body mass index(BMI), urine microalbumin(UMA), serum lipids and HbA1c levels, which were analyzed and compared with those in other research results. Results The indices including blood sugar, HbA1c, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), UMA,and active aerobic exercise were better controlled among 214 patients, and the compliance rates were 64.0%, 73.8%, 63.6%, 85.0% and 72.4% respectively;while the indices including blood pressure, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and BMI were poorly controlled, and the compliance rates were 22.9%, 12.6% and 41.6% respectively. Conclusion The control of correlative factors for diabetes is not satisfactory in community management. We must strengthen doctor-patient education and establish teams, so as to achieve early detect correlative factors and optimum control compliance.
