Abstract
Objective To ascertain the hygiene status of fresh-purified drinking water in Huangpu District, Shanghai, improve health supervision and management, and protect the safety of fresh-purified drinking water supply. Methods All 111 fresh-purified drinking water-vending machines in the Huangpu District area were on-site investigated, water quality tested, and the results were analyzed. Results The pass rate of sanitation conditions around the water dispensers was 100.0%; the pass rate of the health protection was 100.0%; the pass rate of health licensing information bulletin was 96.4%;the pass rate of water quality testing was 99.1%; the pass rate of routine maintenance information bulletin was 94.6% and water quality self-test information bulletin was 81.1%.Routine maintenance information bulletin and water quality self-test information bulletin declined in pass rate as compared to those in 2011.And the pass rate of the remaining indicators shown above rose as compared to those in 2011. Conclusion Terms and conditions of the relevant laws and regulations should be amended to add administrative penalties. Self-disciplines must be further strengthened, introducing oversight information publicity system to promote health management of water dispensers. Health supervision departments should intensify the supervision of fresh-purified drinking water to protect the public safety of drinking water.
