Indoor air quality in subway stations along a metro line in Shanghai

  • Objective To ascertain the indoor air quality in subway stations in Shanghai.Methods Monitoring was conducted in the public area, indoor and outdoor environment in all subway stations along a certain metro line in Shanghai.Results Except for temperature and wind velocity, all relevant indexes met the requirement of "Hygienic Standard for Waiting Rooms for Public Transportantin", including noise, concentration of CO and CO2, PM10, total count of germs.Conclusion The air quality of subway stations in Shanghai proves to be good, fresh air in the stations secures good indoor environment and has an important significance in this regard.
