Effect of detailed management in community hypertension management

Objective To investigate detailed management in community hypertension management. Methods Three hundred cases of hypertension were selected in Shanggang community of Pudong District.A general assessment of basic situation and risk factors was made and by readjusting and perfecting all details in hypertension management to standardize hypertension management. Results One year later, the awareness rate, medication rate and control rate of the target population who had been under the details management was increased from 75.3%, 63.3%, 43.6% to 89.2%, 87.7%, 58.9%;great effect on the hypertension was achieved, in which 27.8% high danger converted to middle danger, 68.5% middle danger converted to low danger;risk factors were reduced, diet habit improved, physical exercise rationalized, compliance increased;patient satisfaction rate was increased from 65.7% to 96.3%. Conclusion There is a great positive effect of detailed management on community hypertension management.Not only the "three rates" were increased, risk factors decreased, but also the community residents' acknowledge of prevention and treatment on hypertension was increased, the standardize management of community hypertension strengthened.
