Analysis on death cause of malignant tumor in Wenzhou City in 2010

Objective To analyze the death cause of malignant tumor，and to provide scientific basis for intervention.Methods Based on the surveillance data，the rate of malignant tumor death was analyzed according to the ICD-10.Results The average malignant tumor morality was 154.83/10⁵, which accounted for 27.69% of all the deaths. So it was the death cause ranked 1^st according to mortality and the years of potential life lost(YPLL).liver cancer，lung cancer，stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer were the top 5 death causes of malignant tumor accounting for 73.98 percent of all the malignant tumor death cases.Conclusion Malignant tumor is the first largest death cause in Wenzhou City.It is necessary to strengthen malignant tumor intervention and control work.
