Ultrasonic diagnosis of bladder space-occupying lesions: Observation on 60 cases

  • Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of ultrasound in bladder space-occupying lesions. Methods Retrospective analysis was made of 60 cases for sonographic features of bladder lesions confirmed by surgery and pathological examination. Results There were bladder stones in 29 cases, bladder foreign body in 2 cases, bladder tuberculosis in 1 case, and bladder tumors in 28 cases, of which 3 were bladder papillomas and 24 bladder carcinomas. The consistency rate was 98.3% in the positive ultrasound diagnosis of bladder space-occupying lesions. Conclusion Ultrasound diagnosis of bladder space-occupying lesions is of extremely practical value in clinical application, which may serve as an important approach for mass screening of bladder disease.
