Abstract:
Orthotics, as important assistive devicng process of global population aging. With the rapid development of advanced technologies such as new materials, bionic control, 3D printing, and artificial intelligence, people have re-recognized the treatment of diseases of the nervous, muscular, and musculoskeletal systems. Orthotics have made rapid progress in design, manufacturing, and clinical application. People are increasingly aware that orthotics play an indispensable role in the rehabilitation treatment of people with limb disabilities. This article systematically reviews the development history of orthotics at home and abroad, from the introduction of national policies and regulations to the promotion of technological innovation, industrial development, and practical application. From key tools in the field of rehabilitation medicine to important technical means in community preventive medicine, orthotics are playing a crucial role in reducing the sequelae of conventional diseases such as stroke and fractures, and intervening in the group health management of adolescents with scoliosis. The future development of the orthotics industry is unstoppable.
