Abstract:
To meet the great national health needs, Fudan University initiated the pilot project in education for Master of public health(MPH), and explored the health-centered training mode for MPH for more than twenty years. By continuously improving the training program, elaborately designing the courses and textbooks, collaboratively building the practice bases and perseveringly emphasizing on the application-orientated thesis writing, Fudan University managed to solve the problem of being assimilated and dwarfed by academic degrees in postgraduate training in public health speciality. MPH program in Fudan provided solid guarantee for human resources in comprehensive implementation of the Healthy China strategy, and offered a successful case in educating application-oriented talents and meeting the demands for comprehensive reform in national education.
