Abstract:
Objective To survey the current situation of behavior with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) among pre-school children in Changning District of Shanghai.
Methods From 10 kindergartens a total of 1 576 pre-school children were selected by stratified cluster random sampling.Conners Parent Rating Scale was used to acquire the situation of their ADHD behavior before they went to school.
Results The prevalence of ADHD behavior in pre-school children was 4.27%; the incidence in male was apparently higher than that in female, which was of statistical significance.And 26.86% of the children with ADHD behavior were associated with conduct problems.
Conclusion As ADHD behavior begins to appear in low age of children, parents should take it seriously so as to make early detection and intervention.
