Current status of tobacco control in public places in Jiading District of Shanghai

摘要:
目的了解嘉定区实施《上海市公共场所控制吸烟条例》(修订案)1年后公共场所的控烟现状，为更好贯彻实施条例提供基础数据。
方法采用现场观察的方法，于4月和9月对嘉定区14大类109家公共场所及场所内人员进行监测。
结果14类监测场所中，控烟宣传资料摆放率有所增加(χ²=10.588，P < 0.001)，但控烟警示图片张贴率有所下降(χ²=6.272，P=0.012)，2次监测结果差异均有统计学意义；场所内工作人员吸烟率下降到5.17%(χ²=20.973，P < 0.05)，2次监测结果差异有统计学意义。
结论嘉定区公共场所整体控烟现状情况良好，但是部分场所控烟氛围应进一步加强，对于公共场所烟草控制力度应继续保持。

Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the current status of tobacco control in public places in Jiading District, after the introduction of "Tobacco Control Regulation in Public Places of Shanghai" (amendment), providing basic data for further implementing regulations.
MethodsThe method of field observation was adopted to conduct the monitoring in 14 representative public places, including site staff in 109 places in April and September.
ResultsThe display rate of tobacco control propaganda increased(χ²=10.588, P < 0.001), but the posting rate of pictures for smoking control warnings decreased(χ²=6.272, P=0.012);the differences between two monitoring results were both statistically significant; the smoking rate in the staff within the workplaces decreased to 5.17%(χ²=20.973, P < 0.05);the differences between two monitoring results were both statistically significant.
ConclusionThe situation of tobacco control in Jiading District public places is good, but in some places smoking control should be further strengthened, and the intensity of tobacco control in public places should be maintained.
