Abstract: Nosocomial infection control personnel are crucial in ensuring the nosocomial infection management and the implementation of prevention and control measures. The level of their job competency directly determines the quality and standard of nosocomial infection management. This article reviews the research progress of competency requirements and evaluation indicators of nosocomial infection personnel domestically and internationally. It also summarizes the current gaps and primary reasons behind these gaps in China’s research， so as to offer insights for the future development and improvement of the comprehensive capabilities of these professionals.
