Abstract:
Objective To establish a direct injection ion chromatography method for the determination of bromate in drinking Water.
Methods By means of high capacity and high efficient chromatography column, suppressor conductivity detector, bromate in drinking water was determined directly.
Results When the eluent concentration was adjusted to 3.6 mol/L and the flow to 0.7 μl/min, the retention time of BrO
3- and Cl
- was close and could be completely baseline separated. Bromate had good linearity within the concentration range of 0~200 μg/L, with co-efficient
r=0.9996, minimum detectability 3.48 μg/L, recovery rate being between 91.8 and 102.7% and
RSD<4.5%.
Conclusion The method has the advantages of simple operation and high sensitivity, which can be used for the analysis of trace bromate in drinking water.
